Lighting using household objects

Lighting Techniques 2 - Eve Hazelton from Realm Pictures on Vimeo.

This is a great video about how to light your shots simply using household objects. Definately worth a watch!

Your work so far...

There are some really good looking blogs coming together already - I'm impressed by the amount of work being done - keep it up! Each blog looks different and you are all adding different posts which is really good - it means you're thinking carefully about your own project and making this work your own.
Do make sure you respond to the feedback given on the sheet earlier this week and keep doing what you're doing - I'm pleased.
Big shiny gold stars all round :)

Great blogging so far!

Some really good blogging so far - well done! I've added a few comments to posts but also mentioned a few things to you in class, so please make sure you act on those comments.
More research and planning next week - time to start storyboarding for some!

Blogs so far

Some really good blogging so far. Everyone is at different stages, so make sure you keep up to date by following your action plan carefully (some of you need a little more detail in your action plans!) Make sure you evidence everything that you are doing at the moment by blogging regularly and if you have already decided upon your song, don't waste time, get on and storyboard!

Lesson follow up

Another Fat Boy Slim video directed by Spike Jonze. Once again concept based and with plenty of humour. Here the director plays the role of the dance troop leader (he's the one you can see really going for it!) and of course, Fat Boy Slim makes a cameo appearance.

Update

I've updated the blog a bit today by linking to three different sample blogs recommended by OCR. If you're stuck or need inspiration have a look at those. I particularly like the wordle of audience feedback used by one of the groups - I'll post details of how to do this soon but in the meantime, don't forget to include videos and images to make your blog more interesting and to show you are using the technology well.

Competition

Just thought I'd alert you to the Media Magazine competition. You can enter production work you've already created or stuff you're working on now. It also doesn't have to be projects that you've done in school...

See copies of Media Mag or visit the following link for more details
